My name is Claudia Wohlsperger. I am a treasure hunter. I pick up almost everything from the street, coins, buttons, safety needles, screws, nails, pirate flags (I actually did find one one day and hung it up on my wall), anything that has the chance to come in handy some day. The same happened to me, at first, with paperclips. Since I am also a student, paperclips seemed to be the most useful thing to collect of all. Soon it turned out that paperclips are very ubiquitous in pretty much all the places I ever walk. After having a sufficient supply of what needn’t be called a valuable commodity, I chose not to pick them up anymore but just delight myself with finding yet another clip.
As mentioned before, I am also a student. I studied a mix of philosophy, sociology, history, political culture, literary criticism, science and technology studies and art theory. Maastricht University calls that Arts and Culture. Because I studied these things, I ended up in Budapest for my semester abroad. That's why I was there. The Budapest blog was my story of exploring the big and small, colorful and grey, sunny and rainy sides of this city.
By now, I've moved on to Aarhus in Denmark. I am a graduate student in Journalism, Media and Globalization. I am not feeling more mature than I did before. The other day we found a old painting on the sidewalk. It's from the 1950's and now covers up an ugly spot on the kitchen wall.
